1st Single - Paranoid
Jonas Brothers' highly anticipated new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times is scheduled for release June 16, and the ramp up kicks off May 8 with the release of the first single, "Paranoid." On May 8, "Paranoid" will roll out to radio and online worldwide, and on Verizon for ring tones. The single will be available for digital download on iTunes staring May 12. The video for "Paranoid" will be directed by The Malloys, who previously worked with Jonas Brothers on their smash hit single and video "Burnin' Up."
Lines, Vines and Trying Times showcases an incredible musical journey by the Jonas Brothers, as well as their growth as songwriters and musicians. They've incorporated horns into several songs, as well as harmonicas and peddle steel guitars. The first single, "Paranoid," is a guitar driven dance evoking song, and the entire CD is a veritable smorgasbord of pop and rock gems. "World War III" is a funk metaphor for a confrontational relationship. Written by Nick Jonas, he asserts, "This is a personal experience for me. 'World War III' deals with the challenge of a girl who keeps attacking you, provoking you, trying to fight you, but all the while she's the only one fighting." "Fly With Me" which is also the end title credit for the upcoming "Night At The Museum 2" film (due in theaters May 22), was written by Jonas Brothers and their bass player Greg Garbowsky, and is sure to become a love song for the ages. On "Poison Ivy" Jonas Brothers added a horn section. In their summer music preview issue, Rolling Stone described the ultracatchy "Poison Ivy" as a "Weezer-ish tune about a toxic girl that you can't resist." "Hey Baby" is a classic "she done him wrong" song written entirely by Jonas Brothers. "We wrote this song for the last record while on the road and felt the old school sound was more cohesive with our present style," explains Nick Jonas.
With all these themes, it's easy to see how Jonas Brothers came up with the title Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Says Joe Jonas, "Lines are the "proverbial" lines people will feed you, and vines are obstacles that get in your way." Adds Kevin Jonas, "Trying Times can be relationships, or anything personal to you. No one is alone in that; we all go through it."

Nick's new blog entry
Hey everyone. I thought I would check in from my vacation, we were able to take a few days and relax before heading out on our world tour. Earlier in the month we put the finishing touches on our new CD! I am very proud of the work my brothers & I created. I can’t wait for you to hear it.
A couple weeks ago we did a show at the Atlantis in the Bahamas. We go back there for another performance in early May as well. My family just loves it there. In Addition to going back to the Bahamas, the beginning of May has some great things scheduled. May 1st, be sure to check out my appearance on the TV show “The Doctors”. It is a great segment about diabetes. Then on May 2nd our TV series JONAS debuts on the Disney Channel! It was a lot of fun filming that so we hope that you enjoy it. The rest of May I will be rehearsing for the upcoming world tour and then the first stop of the tour is in South America. We are going to some places that we have never seen before so we are really looking forward to it.
Bayer & I kicked off the NicksSimpleWins.com creativity contest this month and before I go I wanted to tell you that I am so impressed with the submissions we have received thus far. You all are truly a creative bunch of people and have so many different ways of expressing your talents. Vacation
Hey everyone!
Hope you are all doing great. We have finished our new CD and TV show. We are now enjoying some much needed time off. It is amazing to stop and rest but we can't stop thinking about how much we want to sing and perform our new songs for you this year.
Next week will be the premiere of our new Disney Channel TV show, JONAS. We really hope you love it. We worked hard on it.

2009 Mothers Day
Jonas Brothers
' favorite dish is steak and so for the upcoming Mother's Day Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas make Filet Mignon with Chinese Coleslaw. "Steak is always popular!" the brothers' mother Denise Jonas says. "When I serve this salad to guests, I always have a recipe card on hand because I am usually asked for it. The credit really goes to a dear friend, my husband's former assistant. She and her husband first served it to our family when they welcomed all of us to dinner!"

JB to host Teen Choice Awards
Multi-platinum recording artists Jonas Brothers are set to host TEEN CHOICE 2009 airing Monday, August 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Grammy-nominated artists will also perform during the 11th annual special that celebrates the year's hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion.
The coolest stars, best films and hottest TV shows of 2008-2009 will receive coveted Teen Choice Award Surfboards in categories such as Choice Breakout TV Show, Choice Reality/Variety Show, Choice Breakout Artist, Choice Male Hottie, Choice Female Athlete and Choice Hookup. The first round of nominees, additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.

Win tickets through WAVE Camp
MILWAUKEE (April 20, 2009) - One of the summer's hottest concerts is already sold out in Milwaukee, but the Wave can help you get there.
One lucky person will win four tickets to see the sold-out Jonas Brothers show July 9 at the Bradley Center, along with limousine service to and from the show courtesy of Andrus Limos. Entering this contest is a snap; all you have to do is sign up for one of this summer's 50 Milwaukee Wave Summer Soccer Camps before July 3.
Every person who signs up for one of the weeklong Overnight Academy sessions automatically receives three entries into the drawing, held live on The Morning Blend on Today's TMJ 4 on July 6. Any person who signs up for a full-day Wave camp receives two entries, and every half-day or mini-kicker registration receives one entry.

CATCHING UP
Hey everyone!
Sure hope everyone is doing great. We have been busy putting the finishing touches on our new CD. We are making the final mixes now and soon there will be music for everyone to hear. We really cannot wait for you to hear the music. We are probably more excited about this CD than any before.
We have a show this weekend then we are all taking a break and some down time.
After that we will be rehearsing for tour. The stage is looking amazing and we are preparing so many exciting surprises.

Express Yourself
Contest ONLY open to those between the ages of 6-18 with diabetes!
“Nick, who has type 1 diabetes and uses the Bayer CONTOUR meter, has taken steps to inspire young people with diabetes to achieve Simple Wins: small, everyday victories for managing diabetes that can lead to big differences over time.
Nick’s Simple Wins are writing lyrics, performing and making music. One example of how he was able to creatively express this was through his song about living with diabetes, “A Little Bit Longer.” Now he wants to encourage other young people with diabetes to share their creativity and their own personal Simple Wins through the Bayer “Express Your Simple Win Creativity Contest.”
Nick says: “With this contest, I hope people are inspired by others’ entries, as well as encouraged to submit and share their own, but most of all, I hope that everyone has fun with it. Diabetes can be hard to live with, but when you manage it well, you can still do the things you love most in the world.”
To enter the Bayer “Express Your Simple Win Creativity Contest,” young people with diabetes between the ages of 6 and 18 are asked to record a 15-30 second video that demonstrates their Simple Win in an artistic way. The personal video submission can be a visual demonstration of original song lyrics, photography, painting/drawing, acting or another form of creativity. Once the video is complete, entrants can go to www.NicksSimpleWins.com and upload and complete the eligibility criteria to enter the contest.
During the last week of each month from April through September, the top three videos will be posted on www.NicksSimpleWins.com and the public will vote on the best one, which will be announced at the end of the month. Each monthly winner will win a prize and be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. In October, following the end of the contest, the top three favorite videos will be picked by a team of judges and those entrants will get to meet Nick in person.”

Jonas Brothers the 3D Concert Experience Blue Ray
The Jonas Brothers couldn't live up to Miley Cyrus type numbers when their first movie came and went from theaters in a flash. The youngest trio to ever grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine will get a second chance with the release of The Jonas Brothers: The Concert Experience on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
The concert film will be offered on Blu-ray in 2-D and 3-D versions. Each version will include two new songs seamlessly integrated into the theatrical version creating a new extended version.
Disney is "maxing" out The Jonas Brothers on Blu-ray with their three-disc combo treatment: Blu-ray + DVD + digital copy. With that package comes a pretty steep SRP of $44.99. Jonas Brothers fans likely won't blink at the price compared to what shelling out for an actual concert ticket would cost.
We don't have a release date or tech specs just yet but those should be available in the near future. If I had to guess then May seems like as good a month as any. In the meantime, check out an early look at the cover art below.

Pass It On
Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus will make a collaboration in a new song called "Pass It On" for Disney, according to E! Online. They will record the track later this week during what is called as all-star recording session with other singers, which are yet to be disclosed.
"Pass It On" is penned by the writers of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack "Hoedown Throwdown", Adam Anders and Nikki Hassman. It is said to be a "Disney's version of 'We Are the World'" which tells "about kindness and passing it on".

New Nick's Simple Wins Blog

I want to start off by saying thank you to Jordan and Billy from JDRF. Billy was the cameraman and Jordan was the reporter who covered our 3D Movie Premiere in Los Angeles for Nickssimplewins.com. You two did a great job and if you haven't checked it out go to the video section and see all the interviews they captured on the carpet.
We are currently doing one of my favorite parts of being a Jonas Brother. . . recording! The creative process of writing and recording music can be very relaxing, especially when everything around us is going 100 MPH. I can't wait for all of you to hear the new music. We already have 8 - 9 songs done for the next CD.
Last week I spent a day with my partners from Bayer. We spent all day planning everything we are going to bring you this year. It was a very long day which included a photo shoot and video shoot along with some brainstorming sessions. They also previewed some new products and programs we will be launching. You'll learn more about those in the coming months. I have included a couple shots from the day.
