JB Day on TRL!

I don't know why I didn't post this yesterday, but I forgot.

Yesterday was pretty much dedicated to JB on TRL.  JB was number 1 on the voting countdown, but number 9 on the regular countdown that came on at the beginning of the show.  All throughout the show they tried to find the ultimate JB fan.  I was kinda disappointed with some of the people that didn't know the answers and TRL giving points to wrong answers.  Next time JB is on the show the girl that won gets to be on the show to do a segment with them.

Dad's love them too!

Here is an article a man posted about his Jonas experience.

When I was a kid, my parents never took me to rock concerts. So I swore to myself that when I became a parent, I would take my kids to concerts whenever they expressed an interest in one.

Of course, when I made that promise to myself, I couldn't possibly have predicted that Disney would be in the rock 'n' roll business, pumping out bands like a doctor handing out aspirin.

Against my better punk-rock sensibilities, I took a deep breath and volunteered to take my daughter Lindsey, as a surprise birthday present, to see the Jonas Brothers last Friday at George Mason University's Patriot Center.

Arriving at the Patriot Center, we were met by a sell-out crowd of 10,000 screaming fans. I'd say 9,987 of those were females between the ages of 8 and 50. The remaining 13 were dads, like me, wondering "What was I thinking?"

Everywhere you looked, there was a fan sporting her own creatively designed Jonas Brothers T-shirt, pants, skirt, hat and even socks. I never experienced Beatlemania, but I can only imagine that it looked something like this.

Opening acts Velora and Rooney started the night off, playing several songs each. Velora, with their Paramore-meets-Evanescence sound, won the battle of opening bands, and is worth checking out.

As good as the opening bands were, the crowd couldn't wait for their favorite rockers to start. During stage setup, each time a roadie came into view, the crowd would scream, thinking it was one of the Jonas Brothers. It was at this point that I was glad I'd brought tissues for our ears.

As the stage was being prepared, current pop hits were piped through the sound system to keep the crowd energized--not that they needed any help. For one brief moment, Queen's "We Will Rock You" played, and all at once, several hundred parents bonded with a collective sigh as we realized that our kids had no idea who Queen was.

Finally, the moment arrived. The lights dimmed, the fans roared, and the music began to play as the three Jonas brothers appeared on the stage from mini-elevators below a raised floor. The brothers, to my surprise, performed like seasoned rock veterans, complete with flips off the raised stage, swinging of microphone stands and roaring drum solos.

I sat in amazement with my fellow parent-chaperones as we watched our tweenagers yelling, screaming, howling and melting over the bubble-gum pop of the brothers Jonas. The kids clapped, danced and generally went nuts over the course of two hours, which included all of their hit songs ("Year 3000," "When You Look Me in the Eyes," "S.O.S." and a surprise cover of that '80s classic "Take On Me" by A-Ha).

I must confess, the Jonas Brothers sounded great and put on an excellent show. Oh, and for all you Jonas Brothers fans who are arguing about which of the Jonas Brothers is the hottest--Lindsey tells me it's Joe.

Bob Wilson Meets the Jonas Brothers

Bob Wilson from Channel 8 News in CT met up with the Jonas Brothers at their concert in Wallingford.

It's a funny interview, so listen to the whole thing.

Jonas Stripped

Here is the video that Z100 was gonna post tomorrow night but it's already up.

MTV crash

On TRL today the boys were number 10 and a girl from TX was on the webcam talking about the crash and then the Jonas Brothers were on the phone talking about it too.

Also you might have heard at the end of the video that on Thursday they are gonna find the ultimate Jonas fan.  So I would say if you are in NY try to get tickets to TRL and become the ultimate Jonas fan!

On the go with Kevin, Nick, and Joe

Radio Disney has a new contest where you can win a chance to meet up with the Jonas Brothers at the 3rd annual Disney Channel Games.  But the sad news is you have to be 14 and under and live in the US.  So if you qualify for this...enter here, but you also have to have the code word.  So make sure you listen to Radio Disney so you can win.

Anger with Washington

This morning I was going through my daily Jonas emails and there was one article from washingtonpost.com that really angered me.  This is a review that they did on the show in DC.

"To compare the Jonases to a non-musical family trio, the Corleones, Nick, 15, would be Michael, the youngest and most able brother. He took a fine drum solo, told a touching story about pressing on after being diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, and his tune, "A Little Bit Longer," delivered the 90-minute show's rockingest-and-rollingest moments.

Joe, 18 and an occasional lead vocalist, would be Sonny, the middle brother who works hardest and clearly feels underappreciated: When Nick, sitting behind a grand piano, instructed his older brother to lead the crowd in a round of hand-waving and clapping, Joe complied, but halfheartedly and with blatant surliness.

As for Kevin, 20: He's Fredo, the oldest, allowed to take part in the family business only because of blood ties. During a faithful cover of A-Ha's schlocky gem, "Take On Me," Kevin was down-stroking his Les Paul as furiously as Dee Dee Ramone would, yet no corresponding sound was coming out; it was as if the crew had unplugged his instrument.

Alas, there was no offer this crowd would refuse: Arena management said after the show that the Jonas Brothers broke all house records for merchandise sales."

So the whole thing about Kevin just really made me mad. How could they say that?

Anyways...if you want to read the rest of the article you can find it here.

Teen band the Jonas Brothers elicited squeals all over Dallas not heard since the Beatles played Memorial Auditorium.

Now that they're gone, we can reveal that Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonaswere holed up at Hotel Palomar on Central Expressway at Mockingbird Lane. No sign of their non-band-member brother, Frankie, a.k.a. the Bonus Jonas.

WSNX interview

The interview Kevin did with WSNX in Grand Rapids yesterday was one that was taken a little too far.  The guys that did the interviewing wrote a blog on their myspace.

So we did an interview with a guy in a band called The Jonas Brothers Monday. If you’re not familiar with the band here is what wikipedia has to say:

The Jonas Brothers is an American pop punk/pop-rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey made up of three brothers, Joseph, Nicholas and Kevin Jonas.

Us Magazine wrote an article in February about their "purity" rings and their vow of abstaining from sex until marriage.

When we talked to Kevin Friday, (20) the oldest of the three brothers, this was one of the most interesting things to us. We admitedly didn’t know much about them. Most of our audience didn’t.

Since then, we have been bombarded with emails and myspace messages from rabid fans about our interview and how "disgusting" and "uncalled for" it was for us to ask questions about something we found intriguing.  Most of which have come from fan sites linking to our audio like jonasbrothersfan.com. These fans don’t know or listen to our show so they have NO CLUE about how we do things and who we are. That hasn’t stopped them from sending some of the most vile and threat laced judgemental emails and comments we’ve ever seen. These are great coming from so called fans of a band that espouses Christian beliefs.
(I’ll post some of these later THEY ARE HILARIOUS)

Some fans, once they understand what happened and have the full picture are a little more understanding. For example we got an email from a girl locally who finally gets it now.

Read more here.

Myspace

As I was browsing through myspace's top 100 artists for the day, I found the Jonas Brothers at number 91.  Let's get them to number 1 on that list, or at least closer to the top.  So stop buy there page listen to songs, add comments, add them, whatever else you can think of.

Nick interview

Nick did an interview with KISS FM 103.7.

And you can hear Joe being really loud in the back. They address it.

They were also number 2 on the Top 8@8 on the same radio station last night.

AOL Pop Scene

The boys have three pictures on AOL's Pop Scene for the week.

Another Kevin interview

Kevin called into AJ's Playhouse in San Diego this morning.

jonasbrothers.com

Jonasbrothers.com is now back up.  But it seems to be lacking a street team.

But thankfully...I save messages from the street team and they have links.  HAHA! I cheat the system! Here is the link.  Now I know until they put the link back on the homepage no one will know it, but we can have the whole street team to ourselves! haha

Youtube

I have two new videos on youtube.  Both are Jonas related.

Please go watch them and comment, rate, favorite or whatever else there is to do.

New CD

It's official! The release date for the new CD is August 12th!

Yes, I know. The boys originally said July 8th, but obviously the record company wanted to push it back.  Maybe something about you can't have two albums out within a year.

Bop Video

Bop posted a video today of Joe.  (Listen carefully at the beginning and you hear Joe say "it's me THE Joe from the Jonas Brothers")

Justin.tv

I have now made myself a Justin.tv page.  I know I said I was gonna make a website, but I did and then I turned around and deleted it.  I thought it would be too much for me to keep up with.  But if you have a justin.tv account please add me and who knows...I might even start a live chat here soon.  So if that seems like something you would be interested in..just leave me a comment and tell other people so I just won't have 2 or 3 people watching.

Also I added that video I was talking about to youtube.  Find the link on the side and watch it!

WYLMITE video?

Ok so I was reading the boys myspace bulletin and then said "there are multiple versions of the WYLMITE video, see how many you can find!"  Well that has got me wondering...is there more than the two that we have all seen.  You know the one that you see everywhere and then the one you see on Disney.  If you guys spot any different versions than those two let me know!

Nicholas Jerry Jonas Day

One year ago today, Nick announced that he had diabetes.  Today is dedicated to him.  Here is a video that is really moving.

OMJ!!!!

JustJared.com just posted pictures of the Jonas Brothers visiting the UK!

Also if any of you saw the Daily 10 and E! News tonight (which I missed) they said that tickets to the Jonas Brothers' next tour will go on sale March 29 and the tour will be called "Burning Up".  Now how cool is that?!?! Ah so excited maybe I'll get to see the show this time.  And hopefully all of you that have been trying to get tickets.

Here's a video of it.

What?

Ok, so I was listening to XM radio 20 on 20 again.  The 9 est countdown this time and they were number 2!!! Oh YES!!! I'm so happy! I just wish I had listen to the other ones to see if they went to number 1.

Also over the next day or so my sister and I are doing a "Miley and Mandy show" video.  It should be hilarious.  So make sure you check out my youtube for that.

Radio

They were on 99.7 DJX with an interview. They mention the latest youtube with the tables turning.

Moving on up

On Ryan Seacrest's American Top 40 JB was number 25 last week they were number 31.  That was the biggest increase of the week!

Also on MTV.com the WYLMITE video has received over 25,000 comments.  That is way more than any other video.

Also I thought I would give you a look at our countdown for when the new cd comes out.  There is only 122 days left.

Saturday, March 8, 2008

This is it

Fox 7 in south Florida added a video to their page today.

Also Frankie J posted a youtube video of him singing an acoustic version of WYLMITE.

Also I've been thinking about starting up a full on website dedicated to JB.  Let me know if you think I should do this.

XM radio

So as I was driving today I was listening to the 12 est countdown on XM 20 on 20 and guess who was number 6? If you guessed Miley Cyrus...you'd be wrong!! It was the Jonas Brothers!!!! Haha that is the highest I've heard them on there so vote for the countdown even if you don't have XM radio. They have new countdowns at 12, 3, 6, and 9 est.

Kidd Kraddick in the Morning

Make sure you look at the pictures to while you're there.

Camp Rock

Browsing through Amazon.com you can find numerous new items for Camp Rock.

There is a Camp Rock: Musical Memories, a poster book, and a 2009 calendar.

Monday, March 3, 2008

Happy Birthday!!

Yes, it's Jonasbrothersfan.com's 1st birthday!!

Also "WYLMITE" was number 9 on TRL today. But they were number 1 in votes. Obviously the countdown has seriously changed since when I used to watch it back in the day. Now the position on the chart is based on radio air play, downloads of the song, downloads of ringtones, and just by watching the video on the MTV homepage.

So if that means anything to you....that means VOTE!!!!! haha Yes, we want these boys to make it to number 1.

Also Fox 5 in New York had this video this morning. If you notice...it obviously wasn't taped today cause the boys wore the exact same thing last week in the interviews about Breakfast Breaks.

Vote!

The Camp Rock soundtrack comes out on June 10th! So make sure you pick that up.

Also Universal records as picked up the Jonas Brothers album for Europe.

Vote now for the KCA's!!!

Also I've been thinking about starting a fanfiction. I really don't like them, because some of them are just pointless in reading, but I've been reading a few lately and they have inspired me. If you want me to write one...let me know!

Sunday, March 2, 2008

Bop/Tiger Beat

Bop and Tiger Beat added a video of the contest winners meeting the Jonas Brothers. Joe gets barney!

They also added two backgrounds that you can download.

Also "WYLMITE" was number 1 on Radio Disney. Number 13 on itunes top songs and number 3 on itunes top videos.

And don't forget you can start voting tomorrow for the Kid's Choice Awards!

Canada

The Best of Both Worlds 3D movie is making it's way to Canada.  Around March 14 areas around Vancouver will begin seeing the movie in theaters!

Ok so I have a video on youtube called "Jonas Brothers Scavenger Hunt" and I haven't had any responses yet.  Just tons of people say they're gonna do it, but don't.  So give it a try and make me happy by posting a response!

Funny Joe

Here's an article posted on Pop Hustle.

Pop rocker Joe Jonas told Tigerbeat magazine:

"I usually make fun of myself. One time I really liked a girl, and the Razor Scooter had just come out. It was the first day of middle school and she was walking by herself. So my plan was to go around the corner and hop the corner, jump in the air, and do it right in front of her. I hopped too early, and I fell on my face! I think it's better to laugh at yourself."

The boys also added a saynow message the other day.
