Here are some questions postcresent.com asked JB:
Q: What makes the Jonas Brothers different from all the other bands out there?
KEVIN: I think we have a special bond being brothers, I think, on stage. I think families can definitely relate to us, and people, you know, that are just coming to share a good time together and things like that. It's pretty exciting for us to be able to just get up there and enjoy every single minute of it. I don't think we can do it without each other, and we love being able to get up on that stage and have a blast every time and have the support of your brothers next to you. It's great. And I think for us — since we're there from the beginning with the writing of the songs through the production — it just becomes a different experience. … (The songs are) not like a manufactured version. It's really truly us and we hope people will have a totally different take on us as a band.
Q: You've been compared a lot to Hanson because you're brothers, you play pop music and you play your own instruments. Are they an influence on you? Who are your musical influences?
JOE: It's funny … we really start to wonder where they come from with the Hanson thing, and I think it's only because we're brothers. I think otherwise, our music is pretty different. I think we have a different style of music.
Some of our influences are Elvis Costello, Prince, Johnny Cash, The Zutons, Band of Horses and some bands that … we just really find musically amazing.
Q: You guys recently filmed the movie "Camp Rock" for Disney. How different was that for you guys to be filming a movie as opposed to (being in the) recording studio?
NICK: Filming a movie was so much fun, definitely a dream of ours. It was kind of a dream come true, and that was incredible. We got to kind of relax for about a month and a half and have some time to play golf, hang out with the cast. That's what's incredible. So it was really a lot of fun and we loved the way the movie turned out.
Q: Can you tell us about the new album?
JOE: We're thrilled with this record. It's kind of a continuation of the Jonas Brothers title record. Simply because it just — it's definitely not a completely different change by any means, but this record was definitely inspired by some of the artists we look up to. Like some Prince and Elvis Costello influences and a little piece of funk in some songs. So we're very thrilled for the audience to hear it.
Q: How is the ("Burning Up Tour") going to be different?
KEVIN: It's our "Burning Up Tour," it's summer and we're excited about it. We get to play a lot of brand new material from our record that'll be coming out in August. And we're going to be adding some brand new staging things. It's a whole new production and, of course, it going to be outside in amphitheatres, so it will have a summer vibe.
It's going to be cool to see everyone out on the lawns and all of those things. We're very excited just for everyone to hopefully come to the show and enjoy being there. We hope to bring a really fun rock 'n' roll environment; and (we're) bringing Demi Lovato on tour with us as well. We're going to be introducing her on our tour and she'll be performing songs from her upcoming album as well, songs that we wrote and co-produced on.
Q: Now that all of you guys are famous, do you ever wish you could go back to a normal life?
KEVIN: Honestly, no. If I weren't doing this I'd probably be working at Starbucks. So sitting in Paris and being able to play our music over here, it's incredible to do that as a living. And you know, it's the most unbelievable thing in the world. We know that we're living so many people's dreams every single day. The fact that we get to do it, it's unbelievable. …We're really honored and we love what we do, so no, probably not. I wouldn't want to go back to a normal life.
