Charity Preview

The world’s reigning teenybopper sensation — the Jonas Brothers — will join the ranks of Aretha Franklin, Kid Rock, Celine Dion and Jay Leno, by performing in conjunction with the Detroit auto show.

For every $400 ticket purchased before Jan. 5 for the 2009 Charity Preview, a limited number of patrons will also receive a free ticket to see a special Jonas Brothers concert two days later.

The Charity Preview will be held at Cobo Center on Friday, Jan. 16; the special concert will be held at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena on Sunday, Jan. 18.

All proceeds from the events will go to local area children’s charities and organizations.

With the economy suffering, the special concert might help the Detroit Auto Dealers Association, which hosts the North American International Auto Show, still raise an impressive amount of funds for charities.

In the last five years, the Charity Preview of the show has raised over $32 million.

The Jonas Brothers’ third album, “A Little Bit Longer,” has sold more than a million copies since its release in the summer.
